⦁ I am currently not/do not have the following: skin cancer, hemophilia, leukemia, pregnant, viral infections, keloid, high blood pressure, heart diseases, diabetes, allergies to pigmentation, proliferative scar, mental illnesses, hypertension, emotional instability. Clients with the following issues are not advised to SMP. If you have other illnesses/problems that are not specified above, please list it down for us to determine whether you are suited for treatment.
⦁ I understand that patients on long-term medication (except healthy food) are not suitable for SMP treatment. If yes, please specify
⦁ I understand that engage in activities such as sauna, exercise, sun-tanning, swimming four days after SMP treatment. Alcohol consumption is also prohibited.
⦁ I understand that the skin area where SMP treatment is done should not come in contact with water or chemicals (such as shampoo, facial cleanser, hair products, etc.) for a period of four days. We will provide DRY SHAMPOO for free. Do not use DRY SHAMPOO in a spray bottle. Always keep the SMP position dry and clean for a period of four days.
⦁ I understand that activities such as, hair perming, hair coloring, head treatment, the use of head essences etc are only allowed after 20 days from the completion of the SMP. Please specify and confirm with our staff if there are other special circumstances:
⦁ I understand that the SMP is not a surgery procedure. It is just an embroidery technique to apply pigments on the scalp.
⦁ I understand that SMP treatment does not result in the growth of hair. Patients with hair loss problems will continue to experience natural hair loss.
⦁ I understand SMP will result in a small wound at the position of the SMP treatment (please refer to Section 3, 4, 5 on how to care for the wound). Other possible reactions include slight pain, redness on the skin, slight swelling etc (these will disappear 2-3 hours after the treatment and varies for each person)
⦁ I understand around 7-10 days after SMP, the treatment area will experience darker colors, scab, and the peeling of scab. This period is call the “color stabilization period” – the length of time experienced by each individual is different and dependent on the quality of the skin)
⦁ I understand for a period of around two weeks after the date of SMP, the treatment area will experience localised itch in the SMP (the situation varies for each individual). A complementary skin reparation cream will be provided.
⦁ I understand that the effect of pigmentation is different for every individual and every client’s skin is slightly different.
